The Uttar Pradesh Recruitment and Promotion Board is scheduled to conduct the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination on March 14 and 15 at various examination centers across the state.
The Recruitment Board has released the admit cards. Candidates can visit the official website to download their admit cards. Meanwhile, reports regarding free travel on road buses for candidates appearing for the exam were circulating rapidly on social media. The UPSRTC has issued a clarification regarding these claims.
UPSRTC's Clarification
Dismissing these claims circulating on social media, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has clarified that no arrangements have been made to provide free bus travel for candidates.
The Transport Corporation stated that no orders regarding this matter have been issued from the headquarters. Furthermore, all bus drivers and conductors across various depots have been duly informed to ensure that no misunderstandings or disputes arise between passengers and staff during the examination days.
Reports Circulating on Social Media Termed Misleading
Before the examination, claims were being made on social media that candidates could travel on Uttar Pradesh Roadways buses without paying a fare simply by presenting their admit cards. The Transport Corporation has termed these claims as completely misleading and clarified that no such facility has been implemented. Officials have advised candidates to rely solely on official notifications and to refrain from paying heed to rumors.
**Instructions for Candidates Who Entered Incorrect Aadhaar Numbers**
The Recruitment Board has also issued specific instructions for candidates who incorrectly entered their Aadhaar numbers while filling out their application forms. Such candidates are required to arrive at their respective examination centers approximately two and a half hours before the scheduled start time to complete the identity verification process.
For identification purposes, candidates must carry one valid original identity document along with their admit card. Acceptable documents include an Aadhaar Card, Driving License, or Passport. If a candidate fails to produce any one of these documents, they will not be granted entry into the examination hall.
Restrictions on Various Items at Examination Centers
With the objective of maintaining the transparency and security of the examination process, the Board has implemented strict regulations for all examination centers. Candidates will not be permitted to carry various items inside the examination hall.
Prohibited items include credit cards, debit cards, rulers, erasers, digital pens, keys, watches, and any form of jewelry. Candidates are advised to carry only essential documents to the examination center and to refrain from paying heed to any rumors.
The Recruitment Board has also stated that all necessary security arrangements have been put in place to ensure a fair and secure examination process, and that the rules will be strictly enforced.
