Bengaluru-based electric vehicle maker Ola Electric has unveiled a new variant of its S1 scooter, aiming to bring longer-range electric mobility to a wider market in India.
The S1 X+ 5.2 kWh model is priced at Rs 1,29,999 as an introductory offer valid until 15 April, 2026.
The company said the launch marks a major milestone in its efforts to scale high-performance EV technology and make long-range electric scooters more accessible in India.
At the centre of the new scooter is the company's in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery, which is being introduced to a more affordable segment for the first time.
'With S1 X+ 5.2 kWh, we are taking our 4680 Bharat Cell to the mass market at scale. The same technology platform we built for our most advanced products is now powering a scooter designed for much wider EV adoption,' the company's spokesperson said.
The scooter is powered by an 11 kW mid-drive motor with an integrated motor control unit, offering 320 kms IDC range on a single charge. It has a top speed of 125 km/h.
Safety and control features include brake-by-wire technology and a front disc brake system, which the company said are designed to improve braking performance in daily use.
'This is exactly what vertical integration enables - the ability to innovate deeply, scale quickly, and bring our best technology to more and more customers, faster,' the spokesperson added.
The S1 X+ joins Ola Electric's wider electric two-wheeler portfolio, which includes its Gen 3 S1 scooter range and Roadster motorcycle lineup, offered in multiple battery configurations across different models.
