19-yr-old Shark Tank entrepreneur raises Rs 3.82 crore to build digital fashion brand on Roblox and Fortnite

19-yr-old Shark Tank entrepreneur raises Rs 3.82 crore to build digital fashion brand on Roblox and Fortnite

Meta Fashion, a digital fashion startup that designs and sells virtual clothing items on gaming platforms like Roblox, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto, and ZEPETO, has raised approximately $400,000 in a pre-seed funding round.

The round was led by Lumikai, a venture capital firm focused on interactive media, gaming, and digital platforms in India.

The round also saw participation from Big Bets, the family office of Anton Gauffin who founded HUUUGE Games, Akshat Rathee, Founder of Nodwin Gaming, and Pratham Mittal, Founder of Masters' Union.

Meta Fashion was founded in 2022 by Arjun Goel, who had earlier appeared on Shark Tank India. His co-founder is Sanjay Goel, an alumnus of NIFT Delhi who brings over 20 years of experience in consumer technology, manufacturing, and exports. Sanjay has two previously exited startups, one of which was acquired by Paytm.

What Meta Fashion does

The startup designs digital fashion items that users can purchase and wear on their avatars across gaming and virtual platforms. It has developed a proprietary AI-powered engine that acts as a fast fashion model for digital assets. The system analyses live marketplace trends and demand signals to identify what styles are gaining traction, accelerate the creation of new items, and improve how products are discovered and purchased on virtual marketplaces.

Beyond virtual goods, Meta Fashion has also built a direct-to-consumer physical line for fans who want to own real-world versions of their best-selling digital items. This physical-digital, or what the industry calls phygital, model lets Meta Fashion convert proven virtual bestsellers into actual clothing products.

The startup is also developing an original game called Glam Girls on Roblox, which launched in beta in late 2025.

Meta Fashion claim to have sold over 2.5 million virtual fashion units on the Roblox marketplace, generating approximately $300,000 in gross merchandise value.

"I've been creating on Roblox since I was 15, and I've watched it grow from a children's gaming platform into one of the most powerful consumer ecosystems in the world. With Meta Fashion, we want to build the definitive consumer IP company for these new platforms, one that combines taste, speed, and a digital-to-physical flywheel that no traditional brand can replicate. Lumikai backed our vision from day one, and their depth in this ecosystem makes them the right partner to build this with," said Arjun Goel, Co-founder and CEO of Meta Fashion.

Aditya Deshpande, Principal at Lumikai, said, "We first came across Arjun's work while tinkering on Roblox. His virtual items stood out in the marketplace with a level of taste that was hard to miss. What sets Arjun apart is a rare combination of foresight to pre-empt aesthetic trends on UGC marketplaces and the commercial discipline to convert that signal into a profitable, capital efficient operation."

"Meta Fashion sits at the intersection of two trends that drive our thesis on the space: the rise of UGC platforms as the next generation of consumer entertainment and the professionalization of creators on these platforms into real, venture-scale businesses. We're truly thrilled to partner with Arjun," he said.
