Anonymous social media platform Grapevine has raised $4.1 million (about Rs 37.9 crore) in a funding round led by Kae Capital, Peak XV Partners and upGrad co-founder Ronnie Screwvala, as it looks to expand its AI-led offerings in the recruitment space.

The startup will use the fresh capital to scale its two AI-focused products, TAL and Round1.

The announcement was made by co-founder Saumil Tripathi, alongside the launch of TAL, an AI-powered talent agent designed to scan job opportunities and recommend relevant roles to users.

Round1, one of its newer products, allows users to simulate job interviews and receive feedback on their responses. Notably, Round1 was among five AI startups backed by Peak XV during the India AI Impact Summit.

'3 years and 1M+ users on Grapevine taught us this: The internet today works for companies. Not for talent,' Tripathi said in a post on LinkedIn.

Founded by Tripathi, Jainam Talsania and Shreeyash Dharmadhikari, Grapevine began as a networking platform for corporate and startup employees, enabling anonymous discussions around salaries, hiring, layoffs and workplace culture. It has since expanded into AI-driven tools for job discovery and interview preparation.
