BharatPe veteran Karan Khanna joins B2B quick commerce startup Fairdeal.Market as chief business officer

BharatPe veteran Karan Khanna joins B2B quick commerce startup Fairdeal.Market as chief business officer

Fairdeal.Market, a B2B quick commerce platform building the replenishment infrastructure for India's kirana economy, today said it has appointed Karan Khanna as its Chief Business Officer (CBO).

The development comes weeks after the startup raised $15 million in a funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII).

Karan has over 20 years of leadership experience across BharatPe, MobiKwik, Zomato, Hindustan Times (Shine.com), Reliance Communications, and The Times Group.

Notably, he played an instrumental role in building BharatPe's merchant acquisition engine, expanding its reach to millions of merchants across the country. He also led multiple high-growth businesses spanning Payments, UPI, POS, Payment Gateway, and Lending, helping establish BharatPe as one of India's most influential merchant-focused fintech platforms.

Fairdeal.Market said Karan will work closely with founders Prateek Bansal and Yash Bansal to drive the company's next phase of growth, strengthen brand partnerships, expand beyond Delhi-NCR, and build the commercial infrastructure required to serve retailers at scale across India.

"Great companies are built by great people, and Karan is one of the best operators in India's merchant commerce space. Yash and I have admired his work for years: the rigour, the speed, the merchant obsession. Having him as our Chief Business Of icer strengthens Fairdeal's ability to achieve the growth and vision we've set for ourselves," said Prateek Bansal, Co-Founder & CEO, Fairdeal.Market.

"Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to be part of businesses that have transformed industries by solving real problems at scale. What excited me about Fairdeal.Market is the founders' ambition, the strength of the foundation they have already built, and the immense opportunity to create a meaningful impact for millions of retailers across India. Kirana stores remain the backbone of India's retail economy, and enabling them with better access to products, stronger economics, and a more ef icient supply chain can unlock tremendous value for the entire ecosystem," said Karan Khanna, Chief Business Officer, Fairdeal.Market.

Fairdeal currently operates across Delhi NCR and is actively expanding its retailer network, dark store footprint, and brand partnerships.
