When fitness enthusiasts meet, a deal is bound to happen.
Zerodha founder Nithin Kamath has picked up a minority stake in Agilitas, an Indian sportswear startup, sources privy to confidential information have informed IndianStartupNews (ISN).
'Nithin's investment has come from Rainmatter and is a minority investment worth a few crores,' a source has said.
This investment has come just days after Agilitas onboarded actor producer Anushka Sharma as an investor to build her own yoga line under the One8 super brand.
Rainmatter and Agilitas chose not to reply to ISN's questions.
Agilitas has been assembling a team of celebrity investors. From Virat Kohli to Abhishek Sharma and Yuvraj to Hardy Sandhu, the list of A-listers on Agilitas' cap table is only growing.
Founded in 2023 by former Puma India executives Abhishek Ganguly, Atul Bajaj and Amit Prabhu, Agilitas operates across sports footwear and apparel, overseeing manufacturing, brand development and direct-to-consumer retail operations through a vertically integrated business model.
The recent investments mark the latest step in the company's efforts to grow its portfolio and strengthen the One8 brand in India's increasingly competitive sportswear market.
