PhonePe has launched PulsePro, an enterprise intelligence platform that uses aggregated transaction trends to provide businesses with hyperlocal, near-real-time market insights.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company said PulsePro was designed to support expansion planning, distribution strategy, site selection and category growth.
According to PhonePe, PulsePro draws on its payments network of more than 700 million registered users and over 50 million registered merchants, with coverage across 99% of India's postal codes.
The company said the platform analyses aggregated and anonymised transaction activity to help businesses understand changes in consumer spending, merchant activity and local market conditions.
PhonePe said this approach could provide more timely and detailed information than research relying solely on surveys and samples.
PulsePro covers more than 200 store categories and over 100 market signals. Its tools allow businesses to examine consumer spending patterns, category performance and changes in store formats.
The platform can also be used to identify high-potential markets, assess distribution networks and evaluate opportunities for urban and rural expansion.
PulsePro provides insights at district, postal-code and more detailed geographical levels. Businesses can use the information for site selection and network planning, as well as to monitor indicators such as quick-commerce penetration in specific areas.
The PulsePro website said its data tables do not contain user identification numbers, names, telephone numbers or individual merchant identities. It said insights are generated using broad consumer groups and aggregated geographical transaction activity.
Karthik Raghupathy, head of strategy at PhonePe, said 'Businesses today don't just need more data, they need better intelligence. Since launching PhonePe Pulse in 2021, we have seen a growing demand from organizations looking for deeper market insights to guide expansion and strategic decision-making. PhonePe PulsePro is our response to that need. By leveraging one of India's richest and most comprehensive sources of market intelligence, we are enabling organizations to make smarter decisions while upholding the highest standards of privacy and responsible data use.'
PulsePro builds on PhonePe Pulse, the company's open-data platform launched in 2021 for entrepreneurs, researchers, developers, policymakers and students.
According to PhonePe, the existing Pulse platform would remain free and publicly accessible. PulsePro is being offered separately to enterprise customers under a custom-pricing model.
