Delhi NCR-based legaltech startup, Lawyered, has raised $2.5 million (appoximately Rs 23.2 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter and Turbostart, with participation from existing investor Finvolve.
The startup plans to use the raised funding to scale its platform, strengthen product offerings and accelerate user acquisition, with a particular focus on expanding its AI capabilities.
Founded in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, a former product lead at LexisNexis India, Lawyered provides AI-supported software tools aimed at delivering on-road legal assistance and risk management services. Its flagship product, Lawyer On-The-Spot (LOTS247), connects users to legal professionals for issues such as accidents, disputes and compliance-related conflicts.
The platform also includes ChallanPay, which allows users to track and resolve traffic fines across India, and Highway Heroes+, a subscription service offering insurance and legal support for truck drivers.
Lawyered said it has resolved more than 200,000 legal cases and supports over two million vehicles, working with more than 800 businesses nationwide. The startup plans to expand beyond the mobility sector into industries such as finance, real estate and healthcare.
'Legal has always been reactive, fragmented, and expensive. We are reimagining it as infrastructure: always-on, embedded, and accessible,' Gupta said. 'We have built products that solve real, high-frequency legal problems at scale.'
'In a fragmented space like logistics and mobility, legal processes have always been reactive. Lawyered is helping shift away from this mindset and provides a proactive layer that has significantly boosted compliance,' Rainmatter said.
