New Delhi. Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta attended the valedictory ceremony of the Induction Program 2026 at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), alongside Lieutenant Governor Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu .
The valedictory ceremony marked the conclusion of IGDTUW's Induction Program 2026, which is intended to familiarise new students with the university and its academic environment. The programme also provided an occasion to welcome students as they begin their higher education journey at the university.
The Chief Minister's interaction with students focused on the opportunities available to young women in areas that are increasingly influencing education and employment. Technology and innovation, in particular, are becoming important components of higher education and professional development.
The event was attended by Cabinet Minister Shri Ashish Sood and members of the IGDTUW community. Their participation brought together representatives of the Delhi government and the university during the concluding programme.
The Chief Minister's remarks underlined the importance of creating an environment in which young women can pursue higher education and develop their capabilities across different fields.
