The Delhi government has approved a One-Time Amnesty Scheme aimed at providing relief and support to 1,832 Jammu & Kashmir migrant families living in the national capital.
The government has also relaxed certain eligibility criteria related to income and ownership of immovable property, enabling a larger number of displaced families to qualify for assistance. Officials said the revised norms are designed to expand access to welfare support and address long-standing concerns faced by affected households.
To facilitate implementation of the scheme, the Delhi government has earmarked a budget allocation of ₹30 crore. The initiative is expected to provide financial support and strengthen social security for migrant families who have been residing in Delhi after displacement from Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the government, the scheme is intended to promote greater stability, improve access to assistance, and support the long-term welfare of beneficiary families through a more inclusive relief framework.
