Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman following the Centre's release of ₹19,208 crore to the state as an advance installment of tax devolution.
According to the Chief Minister, the advance tax devolution will strengthen Uttar Pradesh's financial position and provide additional support for ongoing development works, infrastructure projects and public welfare initiatives across the state.
Yogi Adityanath said the financial assistance would enhance the state's capacity to implement key programmes and accelerate development activities. He added that the state government remains committed to working in coordination with the Centre to advance development and improve public services.
The advance installment forms part of the Centre's tax devolution mechanism, through which states receive their share of central tax revenues to support expenditure on governance, infrastructure and welfare schemes. The Chief Minister said the timely release of funds would help Uttar Pradesh continue its development agenda and improve the pace of project implementation.
Reiterating the state's commitment to growth, Yogi Adityanath said both the Centre and the state would continue working together towards building a stronger and more prosperous Uttar Pradesh.
