In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old PBS employee and military veteran has died just days after being shot outside her residence, in what authorities believe was a domestic violence attack.

According to JcPost, a man in Wichita has been charged with premeditated first-degree murder after the 25-year-old Ivy Unruh succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting at a local apartment complex.Just after the gunfire after 8 a.m. on April 17 at 272 E. 37th Street, where the police found Unruh's body near Building 5 with a gunshot wound to her upper body. A firearm was recovered at the scene, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Following this, on Monday, Unruh tragically died due to serious injuries.

As per the report, 29-year-old Joshua Orlando, who was married to but later separated from Ivy Unruh's victim, was taken into custody at the scene of the shooting in Wichita. He was initially transported to the Wichita Police Investigations Bureau for questioning and later booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on an aggravated battery charge.Following the death of Ivy Unruh, Orlando was rebooked on Monday night. The case was then presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office, which formally charged him with premeditated first-degree murder on Tuesday morning.
He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
