About the internship
The GBS Legal, Ethics & Compliance (LEC) team is the central team ensuring robust legal strategy, advisory and governance for the Global Business Services (GBS) affiliate within Novo Nordisk. Amongst others, this team drives strategic & high value contracts, implements a comprehensive compliance program for the site, provides legal advice on a range of business and employment law matters, provides India data privacy advisory and manages open litigations with the help of external counsel.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Researching on applicable laws, regulations, legal developments, and case precedents.
2. Assisting in the review of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and related documentation.
3. Supporting litigation and dispute management activities, including reviewing litigation documentation, maintaining trackers for ongoing matters, reviewing court filings and submissions, and coordinating with external counsel. This may also involve visits to courts, government and administrative offices, police stations, quasi-judicial bodies, regulatory authorities, and external counsel's offices etc. as required.
4. Supporting communication and coordination with internal stakeholders and assist in driving Legal, Ethics & Compliance (LEC) project implementation initiatives across GBS.
5. Managing legal records, documentation, databases, and other knowledge management repositories.
6. Assist the team in planning, executing, and monitoring ethics & compliance initiatives and projects at the site.
7. Supporting in activities related to CSR & ESG projects.

Other requirements
1. Pursuing B.A.LL.B. or LL.B.
2. Proficiency in English & local (Kannada) language
3. Knowledge of MS Word, MS Power point and MS Office
4. Operational knowledge of Manupatra and other legal search databases
5. Strong collaborative skills for interacting with different departments
6. Good research, writing and communication skills
