NEW DELHI: AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday intensified his opposition to the Centre's E20 (20% ethanol-blended) petrol mandate, announcing to write letters to demand transparency and accountability from major automobile manufacturers.

In a post on X, Kejriwal stated that he is issuing formal letters to industry leaders to seek written clarification regarding the impact of E20 fuel on vehicles manufactured before 2023. He stated that in a press conference scheduled at 12 PM today, he will be releasing the letters.

"Today, I am writing letters to all auto manufacturing companies in the country they should inform the public whether E20 can be used in products made by them before 2023. If yes, then in case of mileage issues or damage to any component, will the company compensate for the loss? Today at 12 o'clock, I will release all the letters on the PC," he wrote.
