BANDIPORA: As part of the ongoing awareness campaign regarding Census 2027, the District Administration Bandipora on Monday organised awareness programmes on Self-Enumeration at Government Degree College Hajin and Government Higher Secondary School Hajin.
The programmes were aimed at sensitising students and public about the importance of Census 2027 and the process of Self-Enumeration.
During the programmes, participants were informed that the House Listing and Housing Census Operations (HLO), constituting the first phase of Census 2027, shall be conducted across District Bandipora from June 1 to June 30, 2026, while the Self-Enumeration facility shall remain available from May 17 to May 31, 2026 through the official portal.
Officials highlighted the significance of the census exercise in planning and implementation of developmental programmes, welfare schemes and policy formulation.
Participants were also encouraged to spread awareness among family members and the general public regarding the Self-Enumeration facility.
The programmes witnessed active participation of students, faculty members and officials, who also appealed to the public to cooperate with census officials and ensure maximum participation in Census 2027.
