KATHUA: A CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Cyber Crime and Cyber Security was organised at Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education Centre of Excellence, Ludhiana, with the aim of enhancing educators' awareness about cyber safety and equipping them to address cyber-related challenges in the digital age.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers of various schools, providing a collaborative platform for learning, interaction and exchange of ideas.

The programme began with a welcome address by Monika Sharma, Pre-Primary Coordinator, who highlighted the growing importance of cyber awareness in today's technology-driven world.

The sessions were conducted by expert resource persons Jatinder Kour, PGT Computer Science at Army Public School Jammu, and Radhika Handa, PGT Computer Science at Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu. They shared valuable insights into emerging cyber threats and the need for educators to remain vigilant in the digital environment.

The resource persons discussed various forms of cyber crimes such as phishing, cyberbullying, identity theft, hacking, online fraud and misuse of social media platforms. They also explained practical measures for safe internet usage, protecting personal and institutional data, creating strong passwords and identifying suspicious online activities.

The workshop was graced by Mili R. Sumbria, Principal of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, along with Ruhy, Principal of Minerva Public School, and Reena Khajuria, Principal of DS Heritage School Kathua, who appreciated the initiative and interacted with participants.

Educators were encouraged to promote cyber awareness, digital responsibility and ethical online behaviour among students. The programme also featured interactive discussions where participants shared experiences and raised concerns regarding cyber safety challenges faced by schools.

The vote of thanks was presented by Radha Sharma, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons and participants for making the workshop informative and engaging. The programme was organised under the leadership of Principal Mili R. Sumbria and was widely appreciated for its relevance and practical insights.
