JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today attended the foundation day समारोह of Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir at Dhammi, Nagrota.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid obeisance at the holy temple and prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of all.
The religious proceedings were marked by the lighting of the Akhand Jyot and the traditional recitation of Ved Path, drawing participation from devotees in large numbers.
During his visit, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also reviewed the ongoing construction works of Yatri Halls being developed by the Temple Committee to facilitate devotees traveling to Shri Amarnath Ji and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. He assured full support and assistance from the administration for the development works.
Sanjay Gandotra, President, Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, along with temple committee members including Dr DS Jamwal, Vikas Singh Jamwal, Praveen Singh, and Balwan Singh, were present on the occasion.
Devyani Rana, Member of Legislative Assembly from Nagrota; Dr Nirmal Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister; Purnima Sharma, former Deputy Mayor, JMC; senior officials; and a large number of devotees also attended the foundation day ceremony.
