JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists successfully organized Pathcon Adhyay 3.0, a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on "Refining Techniques Towards Excellence in Pathology" at Government Medical College Jammu on April 29, 2026.

The program featured a series of interactive lectures delivered by faculty members and technical experts, attracting participation from doctors and laboratory technicians across Jammu. An intercollege quiz competition was a key highlight of the event, with the team from Government Medical College Jammu emerging as winners, while the team from All India Institute of Medical Sciences Vijaypur secured the runner-up position.

On the occasion, the chapter also launched its official website aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and improving communication among its members.

Dr. Yudh Vir Gupta, former Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology at Government Medical College Jammu, assumed charge as Chairman of the J&K Chapter of IAPM. He emphasized the importance of advancing academic activities and fostering innovation in the field of pathology.
