SAMBA: Security forces on Sunday launched a search operation in Samba district following reports of movement of three suspicious individuals, officials said.
According to reports, a resident of Bedh Khad in the Darui area spotted three unidentified persons, one of whom was carrying a heavy backpack, moving along a dried-up stream under the cover of darkness.
Acting on the input, the Special Operations Group of local police, along with the Army and paramilitary forces, initiated a search operation to trace the suspects. While no weapons were visible, officials said the movement raised suspicion of possible militant activity.
The operation is currently underway in the village and adjoining areas, with forces conducting thorough searches. However, there has been no contact with the suspected individuals so far, officials added.
