How to Schedule Payments on BHIM App

Step 1: Open the App
Launch the BHIM App and log in using your 4-digit passcode.
Step 2: Go to UPI Mandate
On the home screen, locate and tap on the 'UPI Mandate' option (usually below Bill Pay).
Step 3: Choose 'Create'
You will see multiple tabs like:
- My Mandates
- Create
- Scan
- Gift
Tap on 'Create' to initiate a new scheduled payment.
Step 4: Select Contact
Choose a recipient from your recent contacts or enter a new UPI ID manually.
Step 5: Enter Amount
Add the payment amount and tap Next.
Step 6: Set Frequency
Choose how often the payment should occur:
- One-time
- Weekly
- Monthly
Step 7: Define Validity
Set the start date and end date for the mandate.
Step 8: Add Remarks & Confirm
Enter a note (optional), review all details carefully, and tap Confirm.
Step 9: Enter UPI PIN
Authorize the mandate by entering your UPI PIN.
How to Send Scheduled Payments as Gifts
The app also allows you to schedule money as a gift:
- Go to Gift under UPI Mandate
- Select contact or enter UPI ID
- Enter amount
- Choose occasion (Birthday, Anniversary, etc.)
- Set expiry date and add a message
- Confirm with UPI PIN

- Maximum transaction per mandate: ₹20,000
- Maximum validity period: 90 days
- Only peer-to-peer mandates supported (as of now)
