Vinayak Chaturthi 2025: The Chaturthi that falls in the Shukla Paksha of every month is called Vinayaki or Vinayak Chaturthi Vrat. Vinayak is used for the first worshipped Shri Ganesha, from this it is clear that this day is dedicated to Lord Shri Ganesha. Worshiping Ganapati on this day is considered beneficial.

When will Vinayak Chaturthi be celebrated?

According to the Panchang, it will start on 30 April 2025 at 2:12 pm and will end on 1 May 2025 at 11:23 am. According to the Udaya Tithi, the festival of Vinayak Chaturthi will be celebrated on 1 May 2025, Thursday. Its importance is described in the Drik Panchang. It is written that Vinayak Chaturthi is also known as Varad Vinayak Chaturthi. The blessing of the fulfillment of any of your wishes from God is called Varad. The devotees who fast on Vinayak Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha blesses them with knowledge and patience. Knowledge and patience are two such moral qualities, the importance of which has been known to man for centuries. The man who has these qualities, makes a lot of progress in life and gets the desired results.

What is the correct time of Ganesh Puja?

According to the Hindu calendar, Ganesh Puja is performed during the afternoon on Vinayak Chaturthi. The auspicious time for worshipping Lord Ganesha during the afternoon is shown along with the days of Vinayak Chaturthi. Worshiping Ganesha on this day brings happiness, prosperity, wealth, economic prosperity as well as knowledge and wisdom in the house. According to the Puranas, the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha is called Vinayaki and the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha is called Sankashti Chaturthi.

On the day of Vinayaki Chaturthi fast, one should wake up in Brahma Muhurta, finish daily chores, take a bath and wear red clothes. After this, during the afternoon worship, install a Ganesh idol made of gold, silver, brass, copper, clay or gold-silver as per your capacity and take a pledge. Then perform Shodashopachar worship and do the Aarti of Shri Ganesh. After that, offer vermilion on the idol of Shri Ganesh. Along with this, offer 21 Durva leaves while reciting Ganesh ji's favorite mantra- 'Om Gan Ganpataye Namah'.

What should be offered to Ganpati?

After this, offering of Bundi laddus to Shri Ganapati is considered the best. Out of these, 5 laddus are donated to Brahmins and 5 are kept at the feet of the Lord and the rest are distributed as prasad. Shri Ganesh Stotra, Atharvashirsha, Sankatnashak Ganesh Stotra should be recited during the worship.
