Noise cancellation feature coming soon to WhatsApp
WhatsApp Noise Cancellation Feature: Messaging app WhatsApp is now preparing to introduce a new feature to improve the calling experience. The company was recently spotted testing a noise cancellation feature for voice and video calls. This feature could be rolled out with an upcoming update. As the name suggests, this feature will reduce background noise during calls, making conversations easier.
How will the feature work?
If you frequently travel to crowded places, traffic noise, people's voices, and other noise often fill the background of your calls. Sometimes this noise is so intense that the other person can't hear you clearly. WhatsApp's new feature will address this problem. It will detect and filter out surrounding noise, allowing only your voice to reach the other person, even if vehicles are honking behind you or there's a strong wind blowing.
The feature will work on both Android and iPhone
According to media reports, this feature will work on Android and Apple devices. iPhones and iPads already have a built-in voice isolation feature that reduces background noise during calls. WhatsApp can use this feature through the audio settings. Android doesn't have this feature. Therefore, WhatsApp's new noise cancellation feature could provide significant convenience to Android users.
The user will have complete control
This feature will be fully controlled by the user. This means that the user will be able to decide whether or not to use the noise cancellation feature. They will have the control to turn it off. Furthermore, this will not affect the end-to-end encryption protection of messages.
