Bidyut Ranjan Bhol, the Deputy Manager, Sambalpur Division, OPHWC, who was arrested for possessing disproportionate assets over 400% beyond his known sources of income, which he failed to explain satisfactorily, was sent to jail.
After arresting Bidyut Ranjan Bhol, the Odisha vigilance forwarded him to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur today following which the court remanded him to Jail custody till April 15.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS case No.03 dt.01.04.2026 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/12 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against Bhol and his spouse.
Following interception on 31.03.2026, simultaneous searches were conducted at 9 locations linked to Bhol on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
