The order covers the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC) area, Dhankauda Block and the entire district.

Similarly, the District Collector of Subarnapur ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in the district due to the forecast of very heavy rainfall.

The Boudh District Collector declared a holiday for all schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centres for the day.

Yesterday, the Kataka district administration issued an emergency order for closure of all government, government-aided, and private schools, colleges, and Anganwadi Centres in the district shall remain closed as the weather department has issued an Orange Warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the district until the morning of July 6, 2026.
