: Two men died in a tragic road mishap in Ganjam district of Odisha. This incident occurred on Jagannathpur-Pratapgiri road under Patpur police station limits where a sand-laden Hyva truck reportedly ran over a bullock cart late at night on Wednesday.

The deceased were Nath Jena and Bijay Gouda of Pratapgiri village.

As per reports, the accident took place when the duo was taking a bullock cart with bamboo at around 2 AM. It is alleged that a speedy Hyva truck laden with sand ran over a bullock cart with two people, severely injuring them.

Following which, the injured persons were rushed to the Adapada Medical and then to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

However, both of them died during treatment.

On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the Hyva truck and detained its driver for investigation.
