Petroleum prices continue to rise

NEW DELHI, Feb 20: Despite the easing of crude oil prices in the international market, the rise in domestic fuel prices continued for the 12th consecutive day. Petrol price rose by 39 paise to Rs 90.58 per liter and diesel by 37 paise to Rs 80.97 per liter in the national capital on Saturday.
According to Indian Oil Corporation, the state-owned oil marketing company, petrol in the capital Delhi has gone up by 39 paise and diesel by 37 paise per liter. Petrol and diesel prices have reached record highs. Currently, the prices of both fuels are at the highest levels in almost every city. In some cities, it has even crossed the Rs 100 level. Meanwhile there has been a huge increase in petroleum during the starting of this year. In January and February, petrol has gone up by 24 days so far, and in those 24 days it has gone up by Rs 06.77. Along with petrol, the price of diesel is also on track. During the 24 days of the New Year that is 2021, diesel has gone up by Rs 07.10 per liter.
