MI had some exciting moments in the game, especially early on. Josh Inglis took charge with an impressive performance, even scoring 20 runs in one over against Bumrah. Nehal Wadhera also stood out, playing a steady innings of 48 off 39 balls. He was a bit lucky, though; there were two chances that Naman Dhir let slip when Wadhera was on just 2 and then 13. But once he found his rhythm, his straight six off Ashwani Kumar in the 16th over was truly memorable, right before he got out.
MI had a clear game plan: avoid early wickets while making the most of the power play. Unfortunately, they lost Rohit Sharma pretty quickly, just after 14 balls. Jonny Bairstow did his best to help, especially in the third, fifth, and sixth overs, where they scored 43 runs. However, the middle overs didn’t have the same energy.
Naman Dhir tried to pump up the atmosphere. After a slow start, he smashed three boundaries off Arshdeep Singh in the 17th over and took full advantage of a shorter field in the 19th. His quick 37 of 18 felt crucial-until Shreyas Iyer stepped in to reclaim control of the game.
