Early Life
Pinki was born on 14 August 1980 in New Delhi. From a very young age, she was interested in sports and used to play cricket. She even represented Delhi in tournaments and captained the Delhi University cricket team. After her studies, Pinki completed a cricket coaching course at the National Institute of Sports in Patiala.
In 2005, Pinki joined Delhi Public School as a cricket coach and P.E. teacher. This job proved to be a turning point in her life as her school had one of the few lawn bowls greens in Delhi. She tried lawn bowls just for fun when the school was preparing for national events, but this changed many things for her. Pinki’s school vice principal, Dr. D.R. Saini, introduced the sport to her, and soon his casual activity became her passion. By 2009, she began representing India at international competitions. Pinki balanced her teaching job with training and competitions and continued to achieve success and wins.
