22 April 2026, New Delhi: ICICI Venture has invested around USD 20 million in Agrow Allied Ventures Private, providing a major growth push to the Indian agrochemical company as it expands manufacturing capacity, research and exports.
The fresh equity investment will be used to scale up production facilities, strengthen research and development of speciality molecules, secure international product registrations, and enhance operations in both domestic and overseas markets.
Based in Rajasthan, Agrow Allied currently operates manufacturing facilities with an installed capacity of about 30,000 metric tonnes per annum. The company produces herbicides, insecticides and fungicides, with a portfolio of more than 15 technical products and over 300 formulations.
Exports contribute nearly 40 percent of the company's total revenue, highlighting its growing international presence. Agrow Allied products are sold in more than 80 countries, including the United States, Brazil, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia, supported by around 400 global registrations and over 500 more in the pipeline.
Rakshit Sehgal, Promoter and Managing Director of Agrow Allied, said the investment reflects confidence in the company's growth journey and will help accelerate expansion while keeping farmers at the centre of its strategy.
Nikhil Mohta, Senior Director, Private Equity at ICICI Venture, said India has a strong competitive advantage in crop protection chemistry and manufacturing, creating significant opportunities for companies with quality products and global reach.
