03 April 2026, Singapore: The global crop protection industry is set to witness a key strategic dialogue at the upcoming China-India Pesticides Manufacturing & Tolling Workshop 2026, scheduled for July 9-10 in Singapore.
Organised by Pacific Agriscience, the executive forum will bring together business leaders and decision-makers from across the global agrochemical and biologicals sectors.
Following the success of its 2018 edition, the 2026 workshop aims to address the rapidly evolving dynamics of global crop protection manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on cross-border collaboration, toll manufacturing, and joint venture (JV) strategies.
The workshop comes at a time when the crop protection industry is undergoing structural shifts driven by geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, climate pressures, and changing trade policies. These factors are compelling companies to reassess manufacturing strategies and secure reliable market access.
Particular attention will be given to the growing importance of India and China as complementary manufacturing hubs. While both countries remain competitive, their combined capabilities present opportunities for capacity balancing, cost optimisation, and risk diversification.
A major theme of the workshop will be toll manufacturing as a strategic lever for global companies. Biological crop protection companies, in particular, are facing slower-than-expected adoption due to cost constraints. The forum will explore how asset-light manufacturing models-leveraging third-party production in India and China-can improve scalability and reduce capital expenditure.
Participants will also examine how toll manufacturing partnerships can help companies accelerate market entry while maintaining intellectual property protection and operational control.
Unlike technical or operational conferences, the workshop is a high-level strategic forum. Discussions will centre on manufacturing strategy, legal structuring, and long-term competitiveness rather than plant-level operations.
Key sessions will include insights on:
- Status of pesticide manufacturing in India and China
- Opportunities in biologicals manufacturing and biosolutions
- Structuring cross-border joint ventures using Singapore-based legal frameworks
- Case studies on successful collaboration models
The opening keynote will be delivered by Laurent Martel, Director of InVivo Ag, highlighting the need for global manufacturing collaboration in an uncertain environment. Other notable speakers include Edith Printz and Ryan Rakestraw.
The forum is designed for senior executives including CEOs, heads of manufacturing, and commercial leaders from across Japan, Europe, the United States, India, and China. It will also attract:
- Active ingredient and intermediate manufacturers
- Formulation and co-formulation companies
- Biological solution providers
- Companies exploring international manufacturing partnerships
The event will facilitate direct engagement between global companies and manufacturing partners, enabling structured discussions on joint ventures, tolling economics, and long-term supply chain strategies.
As companies increasingly seek to hedge geopolitical risks and ensure supply chain resilience, the importance of diversified manufacturing bases is growing. The workshop provides a platform to explore how India-China collaboration can support global demand while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance.
It also highlights the role of Singapore as a neutral hub for structuring cross-border agreements, offering legal and financial frameworks that can reduce risk and enhance execution certainty.
Participation is priced at USD 1,200 per delegate, with discounted rates available for additional company representatives and early registrations. The organisers have limited the number of seats to maintain high-quality interaction and executive-level networking.
