June 10, 2025: Apple lifted the curtain on iOS 26 at WWDC 2025, introducing one of its most visually and functionally transformative iPhone updates yet.
From a fresh Liquid Glass design language to expanded Apple Intelligence AI tools, the latest iOS redefines how users interact with their devices — and pushes the boundaries of on-device machine learning.
Here's a look at what's new in iOS 26:
Apple's Craig Federighi unveiled Liquid Glass, a new translucent design material that enhances icons, widgets, and navigation with light-reflective and refractive textures. The lock screen time widget now intelligently resizes, adapting to the image background, while motion-based 3D effects bring the display to life.
Other visual tweaks include a redesigned Camera layout, floating Apple Music tab bar, and smoother Safari page scrolling.
