The Aam Aadmi Party has formally written to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat seeking the removal of Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader of the party in the Upper House, news agency PTI reported.
The party has also conveyed that Chadha should not be allocated any speaking time under AAP's quota in the Rajya Sabha.
In the same communication, AAP has proposed that Ashok Mittal be appointed as the party's new Deputy Leader in the Upper House.
The development comes days after AAP excluded Chadha from its list of star campaigners for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Chadha has also been in the headlines recently for his speeches in Parliament, where he raised issues such as misleading advertising in consumer products and concerns over public health, drawing significant attention during ongoing debates.
