Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, is not only known for his iconic roles on the big screen but also for the close bond he shares with his family.
Gauri, an accomplished interior designer, opened up about the depth of Aryan’s admiration for his father. She mentioned that Aryan is so deeply connected to Shah Rukh that he looks up to him in every way, to the point where he would even follow his father's religion out of sheer loyalty and love. Gauri's remark gave fans a glimpse into Aryan's upbringing and his close relationship with Shah Rukh, who is known for balancing his professional life with his family commitments.
Aryan Khan following Shah Rukh Khan’s religion
Gauri Khan once appeared on Koffee with Karan show, wherein she said that since SRK’s parents are no more, she is the one who is in charge of the festivities and celebrations at home. She said, “Shah Rukh, he doesn’t have any parents, unfortunately. If they were there, the elderly people in the house, they would have taken care of. But, it’s nothing like that in our house. It’s me who takes charge be it Diwali or Holi or any festival.”
“So that’s why the influence of my kids would be a lot with the Hindu part of the … but the thing is that, Aryan is so into Shah Rukh that he would follow his religion, I feel. He would always say ‘I am a Muslim’. When he tells this to my mother, she gets, ‘what do you mean?’,” Gauri Khan added.
Aryan Khan is Shah Rukh Khan’s most trusted critic
Shah Rukh Khan himself has often spoken about his children, expressing his pride in them and the lessons he hopes to impart. Aryan, in particular, has been described as reserved and introspective, much like SRK in his personal life. Their shared love for cinema, sports, and even the same sense of humor, further deepens their bond. Shah Rukh has also revealed that Aryan gives him honest feedback on his films, being one of his most trusted critics.
King Khan’s household is known for its secular values, with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri raising their children to understand and respect both Islam and Hinduism. Gauri's revelation about Aryan's closeness to his father shows how deeply intertwined these family values are with their personal relationships. Despite Aryan's deep connection with Shah Rukh's faith, the family continues to celebrate all festivals together, symbolizing their unity across religious lines.
