With the industry already gripped by questions over safety lapses, permissions, and conflicting accounts surrounding Banerjee's drowning during a coastal shoot, the spotlight has now shifted to the Artists' Forum itself.
Protest call, but who is leading it?
A march demanding 'Justice for Rahul' is expected to be held this Saturday from Technician Studio. While several actors and technicians are likely to join, confusion persists over who has officially called for the protest.
Actor Jitu Kamal has openly raised doubts, questioning the legitimacy of the call.
He has also cautioned artists against participating if the march is being projected as an initiative of the Artists' Forum, alleging that it could be an attempt to manage perceptions.

The WBMPAF recently issued a statement addressed to the production house involved in the shoot, seeking answers over the circumstances leading to Rahul's death.
The letter reiterates key concerns, why adequate safety measures were not in place, why a risky location was chosen, and why conflicting versions continue to emerge.
However, the absence of signatures from any office bearers, including the president, vice-president, or secretary, has sparked a major credibility crisis.
Several voices within the industry, including actor Sudipta Chakraborty, have questioned the Forum's stance.
