New Delhi: Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan has purchased a 2.67-acre land parcel in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for ₹35 crore from real estate developer House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), the company said on Friday.
In a statement, HoABL said the transaction was executed by AB Corp Ltd, represented by its managing director Rajesh Yadav.
The land parcel is located near HoABL's 75-acre luxury land development project, 'The Sarayu', in Ayodhya.
This marks Bachchan's third investment in Ayodhya through HoABL and his fourth overall land investment with the developer. In January 2024, the actor had purchased land parcels in the company's 'The Sarayu' project.
He has also previously invested in HoABL's 'Sol de Alibaug' project, where he acquired a 10,000 sq ft plot.
Commenting on the investment, Abhinandan Lodha, chairman of HoABL, said the purchase reflects confidence in land as a long-term asset.
"Mr Bachchan's investment reflects a shared belief in land as an inter-generational asset that preserves value over the long term. Faith in Ayodhya is a legacy shared by generations," Lodha said.
He added that sustained infrastructure development and public investment are helping position Ayodhya as an attractive destination for long-term land ownership and value creation.
