Viral claims circulating across social media platforms alleging that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 15-year-old son of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, is dating a 27-year-old Brazilian model have been debunked as a digital fabrication.
The rumour gained significant traction after several anonymous accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok posted a series of grainy photographs. The posts alleged that the young athlete, currently a standout in the Al-Nassr youth academy, had been seen at a private engagement in Dubai with a woman twelve years his senior.
However, a forensic review of the "evidence" suggests the story is a textbook example of "engagement bait"-content designed to trigger outrage or shock to drive clicks.
Discrepancies in the Narrative
Investigation into the viral media reveals that the photographs used to support the claim are either AI-generated or composite images of unrelated individuals. One widely shared image was traced back to a 2023 fan meet-and-greet, while others featured a person who bears only a passing resemblance to the teenager.
Furthermore, no reputable news organisation or sports agency has verified the existence of such a relationship. At 15 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. remains a minor, and the sensationalist nature of the reports has drawn sharp criticism from online safety advocates who warn against the "predatory" nature of spreading misinformation involving children of celebrities.
