Indian football fans will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 through Zee's television and digital platforms after the broadcaster signed a major agreement with FIFA covering some of the sport's biggest global events.
Rights deal extends beyond 2026 tournament
The partnership is not limited to the next men's World Cup. Under the agreement, Zee has also acquired rights to the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027, the FIFA World Cup 2030 and a wider portfolio of FIFA competitions.

In total, the arrangement covers 39 international football events, making it one of the broadcaster's biggest sports acquisitions.
Zee expands sports network
Shortly after announcing the FIFA partnership, Zee unveiled four sports channels under its new Unite8 Sports brand.
The company said the channels will carry a variety of sporting competitions, with football expected to feature prominently in the schedule.
The move signals Zee's intention to strengthen its footprint in the sports broadcasting market ahead of the expanded World Cup.
How fans can watch the world cup
Supporters will be able to follow the tournament through both streaming and traditional television services.
Those preferring digital viewing can watch matches on Zee5, while television audiences can tune in through the newly launched Unite8 Sports channels.
Streaming plans and subscription costs
Zee5 has introduced a dedicated sports package for viewers planning to watch the tournament online.
The All Access + Sports Pack costs ₹799 and offers three months of access, including coverage of all 104 World Cup matches. The package, however, includes advertisements.
A higher-tier Premium Annual Plan is available for ₹1,699. The subscription includes 12 months of access, 4K Ultra HD streaming, ad-free viewing for regular content and simultaneous streaming on up to four devices.
Channel pricing announced
For cable and DTH subscribers, World Cup coverage will be available on Zee's Unite8 Sports channels.

The broadcaster has set the following monthly prices:

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will begin on June 11 and conclude with the final on July 19.
The competition will be the first World Cup featuring 48 teams and the largest edition ever staged. A total of 104 matches will be played during the tournament.

The United States will host 78 matches, while Mexico and Canada will stage 13 games each.
Another first is also planned for the tournament, with FIFA introducing a half-time show at the World Cup for the first time in its history.
