Each account must be connected to a different phone number and both operate independently with separate

WhatsApp says users can switch between accounts without logging out. One account stays active while the other remains idle in the background.

Even when inactive, notifications for incoming messages and calls will still appear.

To use the feature, you'll need:

• A second phone number
• A physical SIM, eSIM, or another supported mobile number

Steps to add a second WhatsApp account on iPhone:

• Open WhatsApp on your iPhone and tap Settings from the bottom navigation bar.
• Tap the plus (+) icon next to your profile name and select Add Account.
• Tap Agree and Continue to proceed.
• Choose your country and enter the phone number you want to use for the second account.
• Tap Continue and complete verification using the six-digit code sent through SMS or phone call.
• Enter your name and optionally add: Profile picture, About section. You can also skip this and update later.
• Wait for WhatsApp to complete registration. Once done, the second account will appear on your iPhone.
