The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the JEE Advanced 2026 results, bringing the examination cycle to a close.
The results were declared late on May 31, ahead of the originally scheduled date of June 1.
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their scorecards through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in, using their login credentials.
Alongside individual results, the institute has also published the final answer key for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in PDF format. The document is available for download without requiring any login details.
The scorecard includes total marks, subject-wise scores, qualification status, rank details and category-wise performance indicators.
Shubham Kumar secures top rank in JEE Advanced 2026
Shubham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone secured All India Rank 1 in JEE Advanced 2026, scoring 330 out of 360 marks.
Kabir Chhillar secured the second rank with 329 marks, followed by Jatin Chahar in third place with 319 marks.
The list of top performers has been released along with the results, showing the highest scores recorded in this year's examination cycle.
Ranks in the Common Rank List (CRL) and category-wise merit lists have also been issued as part of the result publication.
Exam conducted in two shifts with over 1.79 lakh appearing candidates
The JEE Advanced 2026 examination was conducted on May 17 for candidates who had qualified through JEE Main.
Eligibility was limited to the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main. A total of 187,389 candidates registered for the exam, while 179,694 appeared.
According to IIT Roorkee data, 56,880 candidates qualified, including 10,107 female candidates.
The exam was held in two shifts on the same day. Paper 1 took place from 9 am to 12 noon, and Paper 2 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
How to check results and what scorecards contain
Candidates can check their results by visiting jeeadv.ac.in and clicking on the JEE Advanced 2026 result link on the homepage.
Login is required using roll number, date of birth and registered mobile number. After submission, the scorecard appears on the screen and can be downloaded for future use.
The scorecard contains marks from Paper 1 and Paper 2, subject-wise scores in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, total marks, qualification status, CRL rank and category rank where applicable.
The result and rank list will be used in the upcoming JoSAA counselling process for admissions to IITs and other participating institutes.
