Login failures, payment errors leave students frustrated after CBSE re-evaluation portal goes live after delay

Login failures, payment errors leave students frustrated after CBSE re-evaluation portal goes live after delay

The CBSE re-evaluation portal became active on Tuesday (June 4) after a series of delays that had left thousands of students waiting. Originally scheduled to go live at the end of May, the launch was pushed back multiple times due to technical setbacks.

The delay came as the college admission season began, adding to student uncertainty.

Login failures, payment errors and upload concerns reported

Despite the portal being live, users have reported repeated technical errors. Several students said the website freezes after entering login credentials and security codes.

Common messages include login requests being shown as expired or verification failures, even when details are entered correctly.

There are also reports of payment disruptions. Some users say the system becomes unresponsive during submission, while others have raised concerns about excess fee deductions and missing receipts.

In addition, complaints have emerged that some digital answer sheets are either blurry or appear incomplete. Nearly 400,000 students are expected to use the platform this year.

Board cites system stability and bank support

The CBSE maintains that the system is functioning normally despite user complaints. Officials said more than 1,100 transactions were successfully processed in the early hours after the portal went live.

The process is being monitored by directors from IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras to manage technical load.

To handle financial transactions, the Board has partnered with four major banks. Early figures show the State Bank of India has processed most of the payments so far.

Authorities estimate that around 80,000 students may eventually file formal challenges to their marks. No extension of deadlines has been announced at this stage.

Students continue attempting to access the portal as they try to complete submissions within the existing timeframe.
