A disturbing scandal has rocked one of Thailand's richest and most influential business families after Siranudh "Psi" Scott, heir to the Singha beer empire, publicly accused his elder brother of sexually abusing him for years.
The 29-year-old conservation activist broke down in tears during a viral Facebook video that has now triggered massive outrage across Thai social media.
In the emotional clip, Psi pleaded with people to stop referring to him as a "Singha heir," saying the glamorous label hid years of pain and trauma.
"I don't want anyone to call me a Singha heir. People don't know the truth," he said in the now-viral video.
Psi Scott belongs to the powerful Bhirombhakdi family, owners of Thailand's iconic Singha beer brand and one of the country's wealthiest dynasties.
In the video, he accused his elder brother, Sunit "Pi" Scott, of sexually assaulting him repeatedly between the ages of 12 and 24.
The activist further alleged that several family members already knew about the abuse but chose to remain silent. He claimed there were audio recordings in which his brother allegedly admitted to the acts.
"Everyone in my family knows because they heard the tape where he admitted it," Psi claimed.
The controversy has become even messier because of an ongoing inheritance war within the billionaire family.
Psi alleged that his mother has filed a lawsuit against him over property left by his late grandfather, former Singha chairman Chamnong Bhirombhakdi.
Days after the emotional video surfaced, Psi reportedly uploaded an audio clip online that he says supports his allegations, further fuelling public outrage and debate online.
However, Sunit Scott has strongly denied all accusations. In a public response shared through his wife's social media account, he called the allegations false and insisted the incidents never happened.
