10 Bollywood Movies Feat A Killer Crocodile Before Shanaya & Adarsh Gourav's Tu Yaa Main

Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar is back with a survival horror thriller Tu Yaa Main starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor's daughter.

The movie is about a popular social media influencer and an underground rapper who find themselves trapped inside a deserted and empty swimming pool. Things turn deadly when a killer crocodile enters the scene.

Even though Tu Yaa Main is an official remake of the 2018 Thai movie The Pool, it isn't the only Hindi movie featuring a killer croc, numerous Bollywood movies of the past have featured our heroes taking on the deadly reptile.

• Shaan (1980)

Directed by Ramesh Sippy, Shaan starring Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Parveen Babi, Bindiya Goswami, Rakhee, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Sunil Dutt featured a thrilling sequence where Amitabh Bachchan is thrown into a pool with a deadly crocodile.

Obviously, he comes out of it unharmed but not before killing the croc with his hands.

• Ganga Jamuna Saraswati (1988)

Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Meenakshi Sheshadri and Jayaprada, Manmohan Desai's Ganga Jamuna Saraswati features a scene where Amitabh Bachchan is thrown into a crocodile pit, but he returns with the same croc tied on his shoulders.

• Kurbaan (1991)

Starring Salman Khan, Ayesh Jhulka and Sunil Dutt, Kurbaan directed by Deepak Bahry featured a scene in the climax where bhai kills a crocodile.

• Safari (1999)

The Jyotin Goel directorial which was a rip-off of Crocodile Dundee and George of the Jungle featured a scene where Sanjay Dutt saves Juhi Chawla from a crocodile.

• Yaadein (2001)

Subhash Ghai's Yaadein starring Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jackie Shroff featured a scene where the lead actress gets chased by a crocodile and is saved by our hero.

• Mohenjo Daro (2016)

Ashutosh Gowariker's box office dud featured one of the most trolled scenes where Hrithik Roshan is seen fighting a flying crocodile.

• Housefull 2 (2012)

In Sajid Khan's comedy hit, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh find themselves trapped in a room with a pet crocodile named Fifi.

• Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba (2024)

The ill-fated Netflix thriller, the trio of Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal fall into the crocodile-infested river and are presumed dead, but they actually escape the cops or so they think.
