Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are set to continue their successful creative partnership with another project after Bhooth Bangla and the upcoming Haiwaan .
While news of their latest collaboration had already generated excitement among fans, a fresh report has now revealed the film's title.
Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan's Next Is Titled 'Wicked Sunny'
According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers have finalised Wicked Sunny as the film's title. A source told the publication that the name perfectly captures the film's quirky tone and reflects the personality of its lead character.

"The film has been titled Wicked Sunny. The makers believe that the title does complete justice to the film's zone as well as its lead character. Moreover, Wicked Sunny has strong recall value. It was the name of the theme played during Akshay Kumar's scenes in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). The theme remains extremely catchy and popular even 22 years after the film's release," the source said.
The report further states that Akshay will be seen in a completely fresh comic avatar, unlike the characters he has portrayed in recent entertainers such as Bhooth Bangla and Welcome To The Jungle. "Wicked Sunny will feature Akshay Kumar in a wacky comic avatar, distinctly different from the characters he has played in recent comic capers such as Bhooth Bangla and Welcome To The Jungle. Fans are going to have a blast watching Akshay go all out. Moreover, the title is only going to further enhance the hype surrounding the film," the source added.

The project marks the ninth collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, a duo that has delivered several popular comedies over the years, including Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan and Khatta Meetha. Before Wicked Sunny arrives, the pair will reunite for Haiwaan, which is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, 2026.
