Since Alia Bhatt's appearance on India's Got Latent Season 2, there has been a shift in the way fans see her. With her upcoming film, Alpha, she and Sharvari are busy with promotional events.
During one such event, she was asked a question that wasn't so favourable, yet she took it in stride.
During her appearance at the comedy show though, Samay and Alia both earned praise for jumping to shut down a misogynist and that seemed to circle back to her.

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari were present for a promotional event for Alpha at the JECRC University in Rajasthan. There, she got to interact with many fans and students who wanted to learn about her and their upcoming movie. A video was posted by the university, sharing clips of her time there.
An audience member had asked her how she was able to convince her team and management to do a show as unfiltered and controversial as India's Got Latent Season 2 because of how risky it could have been. Before she could even answer, another person from the audience almost ironically chimed in with a loud "Paisa! (Money!)"
Alia, who didn't take offence to the comment, only chose to pay homage to the same moment that went viral previously. Her reply to the uncalled-for remark was simple: "Kisne bola ye, kisi gareeb aadmi ne. (Who said this, probably some broke person)."
That triggered a whole series of cheers for the actress and her quick wit. The video then got a comment from the official Instagram account of the show, with them saying, "Too good!" And then Samay Raina added a "Kill!"
Previously, Samay had gotten a lot of praise for stopping a misogynist during his show. When asked what kind of men women like, before any of the women on the panel could answer, a man very graciously gave his opinion, that too in an offensive manner. Alia and Sharvari were both ready to clap back, but Samay got to him first, calling him 'Gareeb' for thinking that women only go after money.
