Before the first part of Dhurandhar had come out, SP Chaudhary Aslam's wife had vowed to take serious action against the people in charge if her husband was portrayed in a wrong or bad light.
The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, did justice to his man as per the fans.
Naureen Aslam has now spoken up about what she thinks of Sanjay Dutt and his portrayal of her late husband and how the film brought back memories she wasn't so keen on facing.

In a podcast with Aaj Tak, Naureen sat down and talked about the final moments of her late husband, Chaudhary Aslam. He had apparently reassured his wife that he would be alright although she had insisted he take a bomb-proof vehicle for his own safety.
"I had just returned home from the hospital and found out he was getting ready to leave. I tried to stop him because he didn't have a bomb-proof vehicle, but he reassured me."
Right before leaving, he'd also expressed his regrets to her, "He said, 'Forgive me, I could never give you time.'"
In fact, even after he had left, he called her again, something that worried her even more, "He said he wanted us to meet somewhere else due to security concerns."
"Within minutes, there was a massive blast. A car carrying around 125 kg of explosives rammed into his vehicle in a suicide attack… Even before any confirmation came, my heart knew he was gone."

Naureen Aslam only watched the film through multiple clips and never the whole thing, but she had ample compliments for Sanjay Dutt's role as her late husband, SP Chaudhary Aslam.
"When he stands near the car and raises his eyes, for a moment it felt like Aslam himself," she said.
She added, "If they were making a film, they could have at least called me, the police, or journalists to understand both his positive and negative sides. He fulfilled tasks that the rest of the police never could."
She admitted that it would have made his character even better than how it was in the Dhurandhar duology. What she ironically enjoyed was how much he was swearing in the film. Although it made the film a little too impossible for families to watch it together, it was a very accurate depiction of the police according to her.
