Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt starrer all time blockbuster and all time grosser Dhurandhar is now streaming on Netflix from January 30, 2026, onwards.

The movie that had a runtime of 3 hours and 34 minutes was eagerly awaited but its OTT release has turned out to be anti-climactic for a lot of fans.

The reason behind the fans' anger is its heavily censored version that has released on Netflix.

Dhurandhar OTT Version 10-Minutes Shorter With Muted Dialogues

As soon as the movie began streaming on Netflix, fans noticed that the runtime on Netflix is 3 hours and 25 minutes instead of 3 hours and 34 minutes when it first released in theatres.

Moreover, a lot more dialogues were muted as compared to the theatrical version.

Reacting to the same, one social media user wrote, "You certify the film as A but you have muted/censored words! Like are we bunch of 5y/o or what? Everyone in this app is over 18, there's no meaning in watching a film with lots of cuts and censoring. You're just stealing the natural raw vibe from it."

Another user wrote, "Chii @NetflixIndia ruined my mood , needed uncensored version".

A third user commented, "A big letdown from you people @NetflixIndia Why the hell would you Censor it when everyone is expecting for an un censored version !! Censoring an A rated film itself is a joke whereas Animal and Kabir Singh has no cuts . Go to hell !"

Why Dhurandhar Netflix Version Has A Shorter Runtime?

Well, the simple explanation is that the movie released in theatres initially with 3 hours and 34 minutes of runtime but almost a month later over the directives by the Indian government, words like Baloch etc were muted and the film was re-censored with a new runtime of 3 hours and 28 minutes.

It is that re-censored version that's now made it to Netflix.

Having said that, unlike its theatrical version which released only in Hindi, Dhurandhar is also available in Tamil and Telugu versions as well.
