Dhurandhar: The Revenge Defeats Baahubali 2 To Become Second Biggest Indian Film

Ranveer Singh proved everyone who ever doubted him wrong about just how incredible he is as an actor with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

The Aditya Dhar duology has been growing exponentially both domestically and internationally. The first film already became the biggest in the country, but it still had international records to beat.

However, nothing is unachievable when your aim is as big as the film's. That being said, it has just beaten Baahubali 2's record too.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released on March 18 and it has since then been absolutely dominating the box office. Although the momentum has gradually slowed down, it is still heavily impressive for a film that has stayed in the theatres for over a month.

As the first part easily dominated the Indian box office, the second has now become the second-highest-grossing Indian film all over the world. The record still holds for Dangal as the highest-grossing Indian film internationally. However, the Aditya Dhar film completely obliterated Baahubali 2's record with ease.

The SS Rajamouli film used to be the second-highest-grossing Indian movie with a major box office record of ₹1788 crore. That has since been dethroned as the Ranveer Singh sequel hit the milestone of ₹1789 crore globally. What's even more interesting is that the film is still slowly growing.

Although the pace at which the numbers were growing has slowed down. That has a lot to do with the new movies releasing and the sequel getting fewer screens and shows across the globe.

The movie stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor.
