German influencer LizLaz went viral less than a month ago when Virat Kohli liked one of her photos. She said she became famous overnight and it was totally unexpected when she saw people taking interest because of Kohli.

But the influencer also claimed that she was offered money to spread negativity around him. However, she said Kohli is her favourite cricketer and she would never do that for money. One the bright side, LizLaz revealed the popularity helped her get an anchoring job for a game between Germany and Austria.

"Some people wanted me to throw shade at him and say things he never did. But why would I do that? He's my favourite cricketer. Why would I throw shade at him for money? I found out because people started calling me. I didn't even see it in my notifications. I opened Google and there were pages and pages about me. It felt very unreal," she said while speaking to Filmymantra.

The Contrast in Popularity

"In India people were asking, 'Who is Lizlaz?' But in Germany, the headlines were asking, 'Who is Virat Kohli?' because cricket is not very popular there. I absolutely loved it. I did the post-match moderation, player interviews and trophy ceremony. Being part of the game felt amazing," she added.

"I got offered insane amounts of money, but I don't want to promote something against my values," she went on to say.
