Earlier this month, Kamal Haasan confirmed at an award ceremony that he is reuniting with Rajinikanth 46 years after their last film together - the 1979 Tamil film Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum .

It&apos;s my wish to act with him. But, we need a proper script and character. The plan is there. We&apos;re yet to decide on the director.&quot; </p><p>Now, this came as a surprise for many considering there were reports that Lokesh Kanagaraj is helming the film after the release of Coolie and before Kaithi 2. </p><p>Now, with Rajni&apos;s confirmation that no director is on-board, could it be due to the failure of Coolie that Lokesh Kanagaraj is ousted from the film? </p><nh-chunk-delimit />
