A moment meant to celebrate Sunil Pal at a Mumbai event unexpectedly turned awkward, with a video of the incident now circulating widely on social media.
The comedian was invited on stage and presented with a bouquet, suggesting he was being honoured. However, what followed left both the audience and viewers online surprised.

After accepting the bouquet, Pal moved towards the microphone to express his gratitude, but the organiser did not allow him to speak. Instead, the mic was pulled away, and he was gestured to return to his seat. The clip captures Pal appearing confused as he tried to understand what was happening. He is heard politely requesting, "At least let me say thank you," but was still not given the opportunity to address the audience.
The reason behind the organiser's actions remains unclear. While some social media users have speculated that it could be linked to Pal's past controversial remarks, there has been no official explanation from either the organisers or the comedian.
Users are mocking Sunil Pal and some even said that this was justified.
One user commented, "Why invite if gonna insult ? 'He took it upon himself ' - ye kehne wale ko smjhna chahiye , he is artist & do this for living . Noone have a right to insult in stage atleast."
Another user commented, "It's a part of comedy a se he anpadh log cut karke kuch b bana dete he."
One user reacted, "I was there and organiser the man in court who refused to allow Sunil Pal to thanks audience is an NRI lives in Australia. It was shameful act by him. Few audience left after this incident happened inside Isckon Juhu Auditorium. I know organiser personally."
